In my aim to lead a healthier life style, I am always on the search for natural products which have health and beauty benefits. Recently I came across some surprising benefits of green tea, and you know what? You don’t have to always drink the stuff to get its benefits there are many other ways to use it, which I am going to talk to you about in this post 😉.
Earlier green tea was used in China to treat everything from headaches to depression. Now green tea is popular all over the world for its health benefits. It contains high amounts of antioxidants and amino acids, magnesium and caffeine.
In addition to all the health benefits, it also has a long list of benefits for skin and hair care. This is the reason many skincare brands are adding green tea to their products. Enhance your beauty by drinking a few cups of green tea as well as using them in your scrub or masks. Here are a list of top three ways I love using it :
1.Refreshing GREEN TEA FACE MIST/ TONER:
This beverage works as a natural face mist/toner. It helps to remove impurities, reduce large pores and leaves your skin refreshed and glowing. The green tea face mist is my favorite. It can be made in minutes all you need is
- One cup of brewed green tea.
- Vitamin E oil.(8-10 drops)
- And an empty spray bottle.
Brew your tea and let it cool down, then pour it in your bottle, you can now add your vitamin E oil. Store the mist in the refrigerator, spray the mist whenever you need a refreshing boost.
2. Soothing GREEN TEA FACE MASK:
- 2 bags of green tea
- Baking soda
Tear open those bags of tea and mix them with equal amounts of baking soda in a small bowl. Then add the honey and apply the mixture to your face. Leave the mask for about 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it off.
Green tea will soothe your face calming redness or any acne and the honey will leaves your face moisturized.
3. GREEN TEA EYE TREATMENT:
Green tea is packed with antioxidants that help treat puffy eyes as well as dark circles. The vitamin K present in green tea helps lighten dark circles under the eyes.
- Put 2 used tea bags in the refrigerator for about 30 mins.
- Lie down and Place the cold tea bags on your eyelids, leave for 20-30 mins (you can listen to your to favorite music😊 while you let it do its job)
I have been using these for a few weeks now and It makes my skin hydrated and refreshed. Yet again I’m blown away by the effectiveness of these simple beauty practices. Try out these green tea remedies and I promise you will not be disappointed.
If you have any questions or if you tried it and liked it. Let me know.😊
