Super easy ways to make CUCUMBER a part of your skincare regime!

Summers are the best time of the year,  but with all the exposure to the sun our skin demands some extra pampering!  Cucumbers are the best to add to our skincare regime as they are great refreshers for the skin. It contains Vitamin C and Caffeic acid which help soothe irritation and inflammation.

Your skin will definitely thank you for these skincare DIYs that I’m sharing with you today😊

Gentle Exfoliating Mask: 

This is a great mask to exfoliate and soothe the skin at the same time.

What you need:

  • Cucumber
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • 2 Tbsp Oatmeal (powdered)

How to make:

  • Start by peeling the cucumber and dice it. Using a blender, purée the cucumber until it’s a smooth paste.
  • Next add honey to this mixture. The honey will help to moisturize the skin.
  • Now add the powdered oatmeal and mix all the ingredients well. The oatmeal will help to exfoliate the skin gently thereby removing dead skin.
  • Apply this mask on cleansed skin and leave for 20 mins. Rinse off with warm water and apply your favourite moisturizer.

Soothing Face Mask:

Cucumber DIY skincare Chai & Lipstick

This is a super simple and efficient mask for all skin types. The yogurt in the mask will help for relief from sunburn and moisturize the skin. Cucumber combined with yogurt will give you the ultimate relaxing mask😬

What you need:

  • Cucumber 
  • 1 Tbsp yougurt

How to make:

  • Peel the cucumber and and blend to make a purée.
  • Then add the yogurt to this cucumber purée and mix well.
  • Apply this mixture on cleansed face.
  • Leave for 15 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Cooling Eye Mask:

Cucumber DIY skincare Chai & Lipstick

The skin around the eyes is the most delicate and shows signs of aging and dark circles. Therefore it is important to give more attention to this area. This easy DIY eye mask can be used once every week. It will help reduce puffiness and soothe the area.

What you need:

  • Cucumber
  • Rose water (optional)
  • Cotton

How to make:

  • Start by blending the cucumber into a smooth purée, you can add the rose water now.
  • Now soak the cotton in this mixture and pop into the fridge for 10-15 minutes (you can store the extra eye masks in the freezer).
  • To use these eye masks, close your eyes and place them on your eye lids. Leave them on for 10 minutes.

This is a more effective way of letting the goodness of cucmber penetrate into the skin rather than just using cucumber slices.

  1. I love eating cucumber, so I would love to try this on my skin. I have only ever heard of putting two slices on top of your eyes, these look super simple to make! Great post xo
