Fenty Beauty: The review!

Hi guys,

I am back with a fun makeup review, today I am sharing some products from Bad girl RiRi’s new makeup line: FENTY BEAUTY. Ever since I knew about Rihanna’s new line, like many of us I was impatient to try it out. Though I couldn’t get my hands on all the products I do have some star products to share with you today 🙂 Let’s get to check out if the Fenty collection is really worth the hype!

1. The  Pro Filt’r Primer:

The claim: Pore filler/ shine stopper.

Fenty Beauty Review on dark skin - Chai & Lipstick

Shades: 1
Price: 32 Dollars

My Experience: I applied the Pro Filt’r  primer using my fingers, I found the texture very pleasant. when I applied it to my skin, I felt it instantly smoothed out my skin. I really loved the way it prepped my skin. It does a great job at filling up pores and gives it a soft smooth feeling which is a perfect base to apply foundation.

Packaging: I love the Satiny matte transparent packaging, it gives a rich luxury feel! Love it!

Would I buy it again?: YES!

2. MATCH STIX MATTE:

The claim: An all in one foundation stick.

Shades: 20
Price: 25 Dollars

My Experience: I applied the Match Stix Matte directly from the bullet, the texture is very lightweight, but it is a little difficult to blend, so you have to be quick. I don’t agree with this being an all in one stick foundation because I do like a lighter shade on my under eye area to illuminate it.  I also like to apply an orange corrector to cancel out the greyish undertone of my dark circles before applying a concealer.

Packaging: I love the magnetized packaging it is so convenient especially when you carry your makeup around. you can easily find all you need in one place.

Would I buy it again?: NO! Sorry, Rihanna :/

3. Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick:

The claim: Lightweight longwear highlighter.

Shades: 10
Price: 25 Dollars

My Experience: I bought the Chilli Mango Match Stix Shimmer, I love it for its gold undertone. I applied it directly from the bullet and blended it out with my fingers. It blends really easily, the color stays true to that you see on the stick. I love it as it is such a multiuse product, I can use it on my cheeks eyes and lips!

Packaging: I love the magnetized packaging as in the Match Stix Matte.

Would I buy it again?: Yes! Love it 😀

4. Invissimatte:

The claim: Blotting Powder/ Blurs fine lines.

Shades: 1
Price: 32 Dollars

My Experience: This is really a very very fine powder, it mattifies instantly and gives a mattified blur effect to the skin. I find this powder really amazing, it works n all types of skin. I prefer to apply it with a fluffy brush.

Packaging: The packaging is practical and easy to carry around in a makeup kit or purse.

Would I buy it again?: Yes! I love this as it works on different skin tones and for the super fine powder texture.

5. Killawat Highlighter – Trophy Wife

Claim: 3D Hyper Metallic Gold

Price: 34 Dollars

My Experience: I love this solid gold highlighter as it gives an instant sparkling highlight! I tried it on the cheekbones and eyelids it works really great and gives an intense result!

Packaging: The packaging is practical and easy to carry around in a makeup kit or purse.

Would I buy it again?: Yes! I love the glam gold effect on dark skin!

6. Brushes:

Price: 32 Dollars

My Experience: I really love the Cheek Hugging Highlight Brush its shape is just perfect to apply a highlighter! The bristles are soft yet they do their job well. Most of all it looks pretty and is a really good quality 🙂

There you go guys, I hope this was helpful! Please share with me your views if you have tried any of Rihanna’s products.

  1. I tried the foundation (got a sample at Sephora)?Though it was ok but nothing overly special. But not terrible. Popped by Sephora last night & tried on the lipgloss. Very pretty. But do I need another gloss? LOL! Swatched some of the holiday stuff too. Couple things were tempting but I knew I’d never use them.
