KIT STARS Brushes Review

The role a good makeup brush plays in your makeup result is key, that’s the reason why it is important to invest in quality brushes! Nowadays there are so many choices available, how do you choose?

Well guys, for me it is pretty simple, good quality bristles that don’t shed over time- I have tried out so many brushes, some of which are a real treat to the eye but after one or two washes or even sometimes during makeup application I have had bristles shed all over the place. The next important quality for me is the bristles should be soft and luxurious, whether I use it on myself or my clients I want it to be a great makeup experience. In my constant hunt for amazing products I am always trying and putting different products to the test, this time it was the super luxurious makeup brushes from Kit Stars! Discover Sam Marcel makeup with me!

Today I am going to introduce you to a makeup brand I recently discovered and have been trying out for a while! SAM MARCEL Cosmetics – The story of this brand is amazing, inspired by a little girl fighting cancer, Sam Marcel was created to empower – the main focus being -affordable and safe ingredients 😊 The Sam Marcel products are not tested on animals, 100% cruelty-free, gluten and paraben free, and vegan.

Let’s check out some of their products.

That Glow Glow Highlight Palette

Sam Marcel Makeup review - Chai & Lipstick

That Glow Glow Highlight Palette has six highlight shades, all of these are jam-packed with pearl pigments for a super shiny highlight.. just the way I like it! I like that the pans are quite big compared to other highlighter palettes… this allows you to comfortably take the product without mixing shades. And yes I love the names given to the shades – it adds to the French touch!

Sam Marcel Makeup review - Chai & Lipstick

As you see the highlights are super strong and even on my dark skin the shades stay the same as in the pan. My personal fav is the shade “très chic”!

Price: 30$

Les Debut Neutral Eyeshadow Palette

I don’t say this often, but I would say this is a must-have palette – the shades are beautiful, very pigmented and in matte, satin and iridescent textures. The shades of this universal palette are well chosen to suit all skin types.

As you can see from the swatches again, the shades are really pigmented!

Price: 28$

Liquid Lipsticks

The liquid lipsticks come in a very beautiful shade range, the packaging is pretty and the applicator of the lipstick is very precise.

The only negative point for these lipsticks like any other matte lipsticks, they tend to get dry, prep your lips well before application to avoid an uncomfortable feeling. For touch ups, I advise to take off the lipstick completely and reapply.

Other Lipsticks

The lipsticks come in matte and satin finishes. As you can see the shades are a great mix of classics and trendy. The packaging is pretty, with a magnetic cap that keeps the lipstick well covered and secure.

The lipstick texture is very stable and the color is really intense as you will see in the swatches.

Crush or No Crush?

All in all the Sam Marcel products are great for their price, the products stay true to the claims made. The only product I am disappointed about is the Matte Liquid Lipstick – which has beautiful intense colors and a great velvet matte finish – but are too dry 😦 I hope they will rectify this in the formula.

That’s all for today guys, I hope you enjoyed discovering Sam Marcel with me, my next Blogpost is a look using these products 😉 stay tuned for it and SUBSCRIBE for updates on all our articles. For daily updates follow us on Instagram – Click Here.

Super Easy Glam Diva Makeup!

Hi guys,

This is the makeup I wore to last night’s dinner date! I am a no fuss person and like to get my makeup done super quick, even if it means going glam!

I spent approximately 20 minutes on all my makeup.

  • I started by applying a primer with my fingers and then used a sponge to apply my foundation. ( I have listed all the products for you at the end of the article). Using a sponge and tapping my foundation on gives me high coverage.
  • I went with a darker color than usual for my brows, to give my look more definition. Especially for night outs, I love my eyebrows to be well defined.

Easy Glam Makeup - Chai & Lipstick

  • Using a Kohl pencil, fill in like I did in the pic below. Don’t worry too much about it being perfect, as we will blend it in the next steps.
  • Do the lower lashline too using the same Kohl Pencil.

Easy Glam Makeup - Chai & Lipstick

  • Blend the edges using a fluffy brush, pull it outwards towards the temple to give yr eyes an almond shape 🙂

  • Now using a matte brown eyeshadow fix the kohl base.Blend the edges to give it a smudgy feel. Use a fluffy brush and do a windshield movement to blend.

  • Now use the foundation sponge to clean out any fallout and sharpen the shape of the eye makeup.

  • To finish apply mascara generously, and tightline the eyes to intensify the look. Check how I work my eyelashes HERE.
  • Add highlighter to add a glow to the skin. Check placements of highlighter HERE.
  • I completed my look with a cream finish pinkish nude lipstick.

I hope you enjoyed creating this look with me 🙂 It’s super easy and gives you an ultra glam look within minutes.
